Diphthong

There are certain combinations of vowels that are pronounced by saying one sound, not two. Try saying "ου" as two different sounds. Pretty hard isn't it?

Omicron and upsilon together form what is called a "diphthong." It means two vowels pronounced as one sound. So how is ου pronounced? Actually, it is quite easy for English speakers. Hear the Professor say it.
