When you are trying to figure out how to say something In Greek, you think through the following process.
1. What is the function of the word? You need to ask this first so you can determine the case.
- If the word is the subject, then the case will be nominative.
- If the word is the direct object, then the case will be accusative.
2. What is the number?
- Singular?
- Plural?
3. What is the vocabulary form of the word?
4. How do I put all this together?
- For example, if the word is the direct object, is plural, and is from the Greek word ajpovstoloV, then the answer is: __________.
