Parts of Speech

Words fall into different groups that we call "parts of speech." For example, some words are "nouns"; others are "pronouns," "adjectives," and "verbs." Each of these words represent a part of speech.

Can you think of an example of each part of speech? (In case you can not, I will explain each part of speech on the following screens.)

• Noun
• Adjective
• Pronoun
• Verb

We have already learned examples of Greek nouns, pronouns, and verbs. Adjectives are in the next lesson.

This is a good time to review your vocabulary. I will go through all the words you know based on their part of speech.
