Alphabetical order

Now that we know all the letters of the Greek alphabet, it is time to learn them in order.

As we work through the alphabet you will notice that English and Greek go along in somewhat the same order, then change for a bit, and then start to be similar again. This will help you learn the order.

I like to think of the alphabet as breaking down into five columns. Here is the first. Be able to write each one out, say its name and sound, and recite the column in order. Do this for every column.

There is no "c" in Greek, and the gamma holds the third position. This column is easy for English speakers.
