I made up flash cards for all the letters and diphthongs. We (my homeschooled 16 year old daughter and I) have just been reviewing those over and over again. This is working well for us.

You've probably found a way to memorize the vowels in the last year or so :) but...
Does anyone else find it helpful to make up a nonsensical sentence using the vowels/vowel sounds in order?
For example:
"Alphonso the Elk Ate Your Olives Using the can Opener"
I'm sure anyone's child could think of something wittier than that, but do you know what I mean?
